Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Numra uses, and how you can control them. For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website operators about how their site is being used.

We also use localStorage (a browser storage mechanism) to remember your cookie consent preference and country selection. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

2. Cookies We Use

Cookie / Storage Type Purpose Duration
numra_consent Necessary (localStorage) Stores your cookie consent choice (accepted/declined) Until browser data cleared
numra_country Functional (localStorage) Remembers your selected country across pages Until browser data cleared
Google AdSense cookies Advertising (third-party) Used by Google to serve relevant advertisements based on your browsing behaviour Up to 13 months (set by Google)
__gads / __gpi Advertising (third-party) Google advertising frequency capping and fraud detection 13 months

3. Necessary Cookies

The numra_consent storage item is strictly necessary for the cookie banner to function correctly. It records whether you have accepted or declined cookies so we do not show the banner on every page visit. This cannot be disabled.

4. Functional Cookies

The numra_country storage item saves your selected country so it is remembered when you move between calculator pages. This is not used for tracking and cannot identify you personally.

5. Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)

Numra uses Google AdSense to display advertisements that help keep the site free. AdSense uses cookies to:

  • Serve ads relevant to your interests based on your browsing history
  • Limit how often you see the same ad
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns
  • Prevent fraudulent clicks

These cookies are only set if you click "Accept All" on our cookie banner. If you decline, Google AdSense will still show ads but they will not be personalised.

For more information on how Google uses data, visit google.com/policies/technologies/ads.

6. Google Consent Mode

Numra implements Google Consent Mode v2. This means that before you give consent, Google's advertising features are set to a restricted mode. Your consent choice is communicated to Google in real time when you interact with our cookie banner.

7. Manage Your Consent

You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the buttons below. Your choice will take effect immediately.

8. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Note that blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of websites you visit. Instructions for managing cookies in popular browsers:

  • Google Chrome

  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

9. Opt Out of Google Advertising

You can opt out of personalised Google advertising across all websites by visiting Google Ads Settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
